Internet browsers not working properly on Acer timeline

I have recently bought an Acer Aspire Timeline laptop which is installed with Windows Xp service pack 2. I use Safari and Internet explorer to surf the Internet. Both were working fine but now Whenever any website is visited using these browsers, the webpages do not open properly. Some content of the website is either not loaded or will not be displayed by the browser. I dont know the reason as of Why the Internet browsers are not working properly on Acer Timline? Can this be because of some virus? Please help.

By looking at the problem it looks like there is some problem with your internet connectivity. As both the browsers are not able to display some content or a webpage at the same time, it is possible that the Internet connectivity is not proper. The browser is not able to download the data from the website and hence they are not able to display the content of the website. Contact your ISP and get the link checked.

It seems like the browsers which you are using have got corrupt and hence are creating the problems while surfing. Install some other browser and see if the contents of the site are visible or not. Use browser which is different than Safari or Internet explorer. Try different browser like Mozilla firefox and see if all the content of the site is visible or not. If the different browser displays all the content of the website properly then there is something wrong with the safari and internet explorer you are using and needs to be removed.

Sometimes the Addons and the installed 3rd party applications create problems in the browser after installation. Try disabling the all the addons and the installed application and then try to visit the website which is giving problem. If all the content of the website is visible then the addons and the installed application is creating problem and needs to be removed. Enable one add on at a time and see which addon is creating the problem and remove it completely from the system.

Boot the system in the safe mode with networking and see if the browsers work properly or not. In safe mode all the 3rd party applications are disable by default hence there is no chance of an application creating problem in browsing using Internet explorer. If the internet explorer is working fine in safe mode, then there is certain application which is creating problem with normal browsing of the website. Search and uninstall the application from the system which is creating the problem. Delete all the keys and the files related to the application.

Scan the system with updated antivirus as I suspect that your system is infected by some virus. As both the browsers are behaving same, there is high possibility that the system is infected by some virus. Scan and see how many files are infected. Once the infected files are found, repair or quarantine the infected files and then check the performance of the browser. You will also have to reinstall the browser if many files of the browser are corrupted. Do not delete any file as it may cause system failure.
