How to stop Smart Phone Spams

    Hi,
How to stop Smart Phone Spam. I am receiving lots of spamming messages on my mobile. I don't know I had subscribed to any newsletter type thing and given my email ids. I am getting annoyed with both sms and emails in my mobile. I am using a Android based mobile phone. I had tried to stop them putting a third party tool downloaded from the internet. But that does not work. Also post some proper solutions for virus protection also. Thanks in advance.
