Very slow Boot process in Sony laptop

I have the Sony laptop and i do not know the which model i am using. The boot up process of my laptop is very slow than the normal laptops or the Desktops. I want to increase the Boot up speed of my laptop. How can i do this. My laptop is two years old. The task manager of my laptop is not opening. It is only running faster in the safe mode.

As you have mentioned in your query that the Task Manager of your laptop is not working. When you press ALT+CTRL+DEL from your keyboard nothing happens. By this it is clear that your laptop is infected by Viruses. That is why your laptop is very slow. Install the anti-virus software for cleaning the viruses from your Sony laptop. If you dont have any anti-virus software then download the AVG from here. This will delete all the viruses from your system.

You can check the System configuration of your Sony laptop from the Right clicking on the my computer icon. Select the properties after right click. This will show you the whole information of your laptop. The operating System, the name of your laptop Motherboard , RAM , Processor etc. You should keep some free space in the drive on which you have installed the operating system. This increases the processing speed of the systems. Also close all the unnecessary programs by starting the task manager. This will free up some RAM memory.

If your laptop is running very slow than the other laptops or the desktops then it is possible that the RAM of your laptop is less than the other laptops and desktops. Increase the RAM memory of your laptop. This will increase the processing speed of your laptop as well as the booting speed. As you said your laptop is two years old. The other possibility is that your laptop processor is older than the new processors. That is why your laptop is running slow.

Hi Cruzz, if you have the time, I would recommend you to reformat the hard disk drive and re-install the operating system.

Alternative you can disable those unnecessary services or applications from auto start up.

You might also want to run a full scan with your anti-virus software to see if you're infected. If you do not have one, try Kaspersky.
