Video format Problems MP4 Player

I just bought the new MP4 player for my daughter few days ago. When i bought this MP4 player that time it was working properly and it was able to play the videos. But when i downloaded and transferred the video from my computer to this MP4 player for checking purpose. But the "video format error" is displayed on the screen when try to play this downloaded video file. Whereas the inbuilt video file are played very nicely by this player.
