The higher cpu frequency better fast performance so that people go for overclock there CPU but here with apple you will get 2.26 GHz which is more than Asus UL80Vt ram is less but you can improve it later . The Apple MacBook 13-inch version out in October 2009 is configured with a Core 2 Duo P7550 (2.26 GHz), 2GB DDR2, a SATA hard drive 250GB 5400 rpm, some Geforce 9400M 256MB DDR3, screen 13.3 inch LED Backlight WXGA (1280 × 800), an iSight camera, a DVD burner and connectors Wi-Fi a / b / g / n, Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR, Mini DisplayPort, Headset / Microphone, Gigabit Ethernet and USB 2.0 (x2). For Apple the quality of the MacBook 13-inch is clear progress. It is light , stronger and beautiful . The touchpad is also progressing and is fully multi-touch. Another improvement, the images delivered by the webcam are more loyal. Performance is up due to new Intel Core 2 Duo P7550. however it is not possible to opt for a SSD or a hard disk 7200 rpm. but overall nice product

Re: Asus UL80Vt vs Apple MacBook 13-inch

I have just bought an Asus UL80VT-A1 and I must say that I really like it. As a moderate gamer I really appreciate the GeForce G210M and the ability to overclock the CPU to 1.7 gHz from 1.3. And the ability to switch the GPU to the integrated Intel chip is really a battery life saver when I need it. I have had this computer running for almost 10 hours doing moderate word processing with wi-fi off, integrated graphics enabled, and brightness medium. The build quality is decent, with none of the quirks that I read about in reviews, but I could just be lucky. All in all a decent machine for light gaming and school use.

I don't know much about the Macbook 13 besides the fact that its nice looking... I just don't know my way around a Mac at all. I can maneuver around my iPod Touch pretty quickly, but thats a whole different ball game...

I would go for Asus. Plus they have an warranty thats already built into the price. You can get one for $830 on Amazon and the Macbook runs somewhere around $900 with a student discount. Hope I helped.
