Windows 7 RTM on Acer Laptop

Have any one tried installing the latest Windows 7 RTM on Acer Laptop, I have a Acer Aspire 8930G Here is the Specification :

Intel Core 2 Quad Core Q9000 (2.0 GHz)
4GB RAM
Nvidia GeForce 9600M GT
500GB HD
i think this is enough to run Windows 7 as many say windows 7 can run in low PC also it is even better then XP . it run really great in Netbook . Can i try it , are there any risk in it please reply.

Yes you can install windows 7 on your acer laptop . it runs really great .The installation is really easy . All devices detected and Windows 7 automatically install . if you have any problem with some driver then just download vista driver for it it will work Great .

Now acer official offer windows 7 as there operating system see here : http://www.acer.com/windows7upgrade/ you can upgrade your laptop to Windows 7 , but there will be soem issue on driver like dilbert said just download vista driver for it and use Compatiblity Troubleshoot option on Windows 7 to do this see the following :

first you need to Right click on the setup file, and select Troubleshoot compatibility-> go to Trobleshoot program " This option will help you on choose compatibility settings based on problems you notice"-> The program worked in earlier versions of windows but won't install or run now . after that select the version you have from the list now Start the program now select User Account Control icon on taskbar which will appear , then click Yes now -> Next -> Yes -> Next after doing that go back to Program Compatibility window, click Next choose option Yes, save these settings for this program , after doign that Close The Troubleshooter and reboot your computer you are done .

Thanks for the help i will really look at the tips and try to install windows 7 on it . first taking a back up of all my favorites . will reply back .
