Sony vaio battery won't hold charge

My friend is having Sony vaio laptop with him and from few days he is facing some issue with his battery when he told me about the issue i told him to change the power cable and at the same time i told him to buy a battery charger and charged the battery that way. The charger required the power cable and both worked to charge the battery, so that wasn't the problem. Now when I turn it on and plug in the power cord, it says it's charging, but the battery power continues to goes down . Can anyone tell me what would be the issue ?

In that case i would suggest you to check out the battery connector because it might happen that there would be some issue with your charger or the battery would have gone weak because of which you are your battery power continues to goes down, in that case try to use some one else battery and charger and have a check for the same.

I had try to use another battery and adapter too but still facing same issue can anyone let me know what would be the exact issue and i need to fix this problem as soon as possible because i need to give a presentation about my project which is begin stored on my laptop hard drive or else can i get can i get any other solution where i can get my files back, then that will also do for me.

It seems that there is some issue with your laptop only in that case you need to visit any Sony service center and tell them that your battery won't hold charge, in that case it might happen that the battery connector would might be damage because of which you are facing this issue or the power supply connector might has gone bad because of which you are facing this issue.
