Dell Inspiron 8500 won't turn on

I have a Dell Inspiron 8500 on which i had installed Windows Xp as my operating system. Recently my inspiron 8500 started turning on unreliably / intermittently when i try to hit the button. Now when i try to turn on my system, it won't turn on. Can any body tell me that why doesn't my Dell Inspiron 8500 won't turn on? What i need to do in order to get rid of the above issue? Kindly provide me the correct solution for the above issue.
