Apple iphone screen sort

Hi,

I am using apple iphone with AT&T network, i would like to sort my apple application. is is possible to to sort the apps on the home screen? I have some application which i use daily so i need them to on my home screen, I can sort application in nokia N70. but there is no sort option in apple iphone. is there any trick to sort apple application. if so then please share with me.

No you cant sort the application in apple iphone. all the inbuilt application will always be on the home screen of your apple iphone. You can check for the firmware update. may be this issue is also solved in the latest iphone firmware.

In apple iphone there are no “categories” to sort your apps into. However there is no categories in the iphone still there is a way you can sort them in categories of your own by memory. You can choose your main or homescreen asyour most accessed apps, The next screen could be apps that you classify as “utilities”, then “media”, “web apps”, “games”, and so on.

To sort your apple iphone home screen goto /System/Library/CoreServices/Springboard.app and copy the DisplayList.plist to your computer
, open up in wordpad. you will see "button bar" with bottom row icons and if you go below you will find apple iphone iconList, here they are in the order that you see on the "homescreen". now change them with application which you want in your home screen.

Why dont you Download ‘Categories’ from Cydia. it one the best application created by BigBoss. With this Cydia application you can create folders on your apple iphone home screen, and move the selected application to respected folders, The folders can be named like games, office, tools etc.
