How to connect a Moto Razr to computer?

I have a Moto Razr cell phone connected to computer through USB cable and my computer notices that it is connected to but I have no drivers since no software came with the phone, so where can i get a driver to install it? and I have a USB cable that fits it. After searching for a while on the internet I found a driver that allows my windows xp laptop to detect my phone, but when I do this nothing really happens, the phone just charges. any idea what i can use?

You can get the drivers in one of several places - the best of these being direct from Motorola themselves. Or else Try establishing a bluetooth connection. My phone required no drivers when it was connected like this. The cable should of been provided with the required software. Try downloading drivers/applications of the official Motorola site.

With MPT (Mobile Phone Tools) you can transfer ringers to your Razr, just edit them to 30 seconds. You need MPT for the driver and to do stuff such as transfer pics, ringers, videos. The more advanced stuff comes later, but try to get a copy of that software. Download and install the drivers, unzip them to a folder on your C: drive, then search for drivers in that folder when it asks you to insert the disk.

Does your comp got BT if it gets there is no problem at all, just depends if it is on your motherboard or some type of usb or something. the problem may also be in the supply code, ie wire, Actually to find the correct wire, u just buy the OEM V3 RAZR cable. OEM stands for "Original Equipment Manufacture", this means the the wire is specifically made for the V3 by motorola so it should be compatible.
