Nikon d40 vs d80 DSLR

Hi,

I want to buy a new camera I have decided to buy either Nikon D80 or Nikon D40. Right now I have two lenses 28-80 and 70-300, which i bought from my uncle, but i have no idea weather its compatible with this models or not. I am not a professional photographer. i have very less knowledge about DSLR's. please help me in choosing the right camera for me.

Even if you are not a professional photographer Nikon D80 DSLR will be the best for you, It it more advanced then Nikon D40 DSLR, It works fine in auto mode as compare to D40. you wont get Auto Exposure Bracketing feature with D40 which is a good feature for noob.

The DSLR nikon D80 is the best option for you, it can take Up to 2,700 shots with fully charged EN-EL3e battery , where D40 can only take Up to 2,700 shots with fully charged EN-EL3e battery. but the main difference is price. if you are willing to spend more money then go for D80.
