IPhone in DFU mode, Error 1600

    Hi,

iPhone was suddenly a flash light and is no longer recognized by iTunes, it says, its in recovery mode (as an info screen is light blue), however, indicates that its in DFU state.

And Pwanage says it first needs to be recover in iTunes.

    Does anyone have a solution?

yes I do a recovery using itunes 1.1.4 standard. than at some point the message with error 1600.

iPhone 1.1.4 was pwanaged with 4.6 and Neuter. I'm already a day without phone so help is greatly appreciated.

    Try this out;

Put your iphone in the cradle again and hold the Power button (above) + the sleep / wake button (front) together for about 20 seconds until it recognizes iTunes.

After restore via iTunes and then unlock / activate / Jail Break ( How to install applications on your iPod / iPhone. )

I found that this is a topic required, as many as me the whole night trying to resolve, etc. There are types of sites said that you must uninstall iTunes, and everything must be clean, and reinstall it should continue . This solution may be helpful, but I doubt it, because I really have to jam over.

Anyways, the only solution that works for me and for others is as follows:

    1. You probably have. Official 2.0/1.1.4 insist through a recovery.
    2. Downgrade your iPhone to 1.1.4
    3. If you have Windows, you can follow the same steps, only a slightly different way. Until you come to 1.1.4 with WinPwn.
    4. Once you have 1.1.4 WinPwn is out you can simply Shift + Restore (Windows) or Alt + Restore (Mac) to 2.0 Custom Firmware loading, and install it!

Hope that this string is useful for some.

You can also do is, go through Pwnage to build a custom firmware (even if you've already done it) up until it asks you if you have jailbroken the phone before at that point say "no" then it'll tell you to put your phone in DFU mode, do it until Pwnage says you've successfully put the phone in DFU mode. Then you should be able to install 2.1

    hi all,

I hope someone can help me with this problem I’m having.

I brought an iphone from Australia and had it jailbreaked. i have been using it on the orange network (as its from aus, not even o2 works). It was working fine until i recently upgraded it to v3 firmware.
    now..
All i get is the cable and itunes sign on the screen.
i have tried to restore using the dfu mode, but each time it comes up with an error.
i have tried downgrading to loads of older versions, but to no avail.
    Can someone help with this???

After Jailbreaking – connect your device to the PC, turn on iTunes and leave them for 10-15mins. Your iPhone will bootup just perfect.
