hello there,

i hope it is all going better than worse and even very well for you all!

i have a problem (well one of the many !;-)) transfering my sms messages from my SONY ERICSSON W810i mobile phone to my laptop since i have changed to MacBookPro dual core intel .....

it used to work well with BluePhoneElite to back up my texts and write them from my computer (Mac lap top superdrive G4) but it doesn't work anymore ...
and i heard it doesn't seem 2work on the new Mac pro with intels processors ....?..

does anyone know if there is an alternative software that i could use? or a new version of BluePhoneElite that works?

in case can i download it for free?

The only way I have heard this working on the newer kit is via windows emulation. I have yet to see new Mac software to be released. If anyone else knows better though, please feel free to post.

There is the excellent PhoneAgent by MacMedia. I've used it since I've had the W810i (18months) with my Powermac G4 and now my Intel-based Macbook. Works flawlessly. Can write, save and read all SMS, without any problems. Can get right inside the phone for contacts, Wap, Themes, Notes, Calendar, MMS. Easy sync with Mac. However, you have to pay for it! € 29.95. But worth every penny - far better and comprehensive than Apple's iSync. The guy who writes the software has peerless customer support by email. Can't recommend it highly enough. You can download a demo with some restrictions, but you'll get the idea. I found it superior to BluePhoneElite for SMS and backup functions, though it won't display calls on your screen like the BPE does. Give it a try.
