Hi, the gwes.exe is a WM5 OS process ... The OLite version they're using isn't the latest one - the official support for WM5 was added in some of the later versions if I remember right. But the R1 version should also work - at least it worked for me on Symbol MC70 device, but than we fortunately upgraded to the R2 (10.2.0.2). First of all I'd try to reinstall OLite runtime on the clean device (perform clean boot before installation). If it won't work either, they will have to upgrade to R2. But I'd recommend to upgrade to the latest R2 version (+ patches) anyway, because there're many things buggy in the R1 ...

sorry, I've mistaken the versions - the 10.2.0.1.1 is already R2, the R1 was 10.1 .*... but the WM5 support was introduced in the 10.2.0.2 version, so my upgrade-advise is valid anyway.

this is the patch they should install:
    5047108 Oracle Database Lite: Patch
ORACLE DATABASE LITE 10.2.0.2.0 PATCHSET 10.2.0.1.0

I have the same problem, the fact is that I'm testing it in a WM 5.0 and I don't have a metalink account to download that patchset.

Could you please send me that patchset so I can test it properly, I don't want to buy a license without seeing that it works.
