Hi Boyce,
Would like to advice you not to execute any software whose destination is unknown and since you dont know how it came on your PC it's better not to use it.
Since your iPod can't play WMA (Windows Media) format files, you need to convert them to MP3 format for them to work properly. It's not that hard if you download an application to do so.
There are many sites who can get you tons of application that can perform the format conversion for you such as Download.com, softpedia.com etc. Of these many choices, the most popular appear to be Smart Audio Converter, dBpowerAmp Music Converter, Power MP3 WMA Converter, and Media Monkey.
I started with Media Monkey for the task similar to yours, and the fact that it works on Windows 98, Windows 2000 and Windows XP simply great.
If you want a commercial application, then Easy CD-DA Extractor also converts quite a few different audio formats, including being able to convert MP4 files into the MP3 files that your iPod wants.
The Windows Audio Converter that you found on your Computer comes along with Windows Media Player 10 but you need to pay for it. It's also a separately licensed application.
Cheers.
