Along with the DSP technology and Audio Shock Protection that controls incoming audio volume, the sound is described as "innovatively balanced" to block out background noises.

The BT530 gets multi-use capabilities that means the headset can connect to a mobile phone and PC at the same time, auto pair for easy set-up and comes complete with six eargels and a removable hook.

Talk time comes in at 5.5 hours, standby is 250 hours, there's the usual 10 metre range, the device weighs 10 grams and charges via Micro-USB.

The new headset will be available from 1 October from Phones4U and Carphone Warehouse stores priced at approximately £49.99.

With the accompanying Jabra A335w Bluetooth Dongle, the M5390 works plug-and-play with a wide range of PC-based softphones such as Microsoft Communicator 2007, Cisco or Skype.

All call handling is controlled via the headset and it boasts in-built DSP noise cancelling technology, wideband sound, an extended boom arm, talk time of 6 hours, standby of 60 hours and weighs 18 grams.
