Hi there. very intersting indeed and thank you for posting. One question I have is about the front screen. I have 1 or two scratches on mine and wonder how it is connected to the phone? Is the front screen a plastic cover with the black facia underneath ie the part with nokia on and Xpress music? I am able to remove the front cover using the stylus but would need help in removing the small ribbon cable.

Do you know if the top cover has separate parts? I know a small ribbon cable goes from the board to it, but is the front screen a cover screen or an electronic screen?

Is the front cover plastic screen in contact with the touch screen? If so could I use a scratch remover such as'displex' on it? Do you know what material the front screen is made of ?

Yes, its possible to do so. For that you need to first remove the battery cover, battery and memory card. Then you need to remove the four screws, this will release the clips holding the band in place. Then run your fingernail around the edge of the join of the camera surround and back cover to unclip it. The key lock sliding button will also come away with the colored band. Release the front cover in the same way you released the coloured band, pulling at various points around its outer edge. Start near the bottom as there is a ribbon cable at the top of the phone which can be damaged if too much force is applied to it.
