Since I deal with a lot of different files, I have many, many different folders in many, many different directories. To add to the confusion, I have five hard drives in my system, so I spread this over multiple drives as well!
Main 4 folders.
Downloads - all things i have downloaded are put in this folder for short term
Documents - All the important stuff
Music - Music & audio files
Movies - Movies & video files
Thats it!
I keep all of my files on a large secondary drive that is separate from the OS. My OS drive contains only Windows and my installed applications
I have many, many levels of nested subdirectories -- particularly in my work area.
I have a lot of different data and i prefer to keem them in different sub folders. These sub folders counts many depending on type of data.
I save my file in D: drive with sub-folders in it.
I prefer to have less numbers of sub folders. That avoids confusion.
