Yes you can do that. You can overclock the ram. It depends on the motherboard first and then on the ram. Your motherboard must have a support for overclocking and second your ram can tolerate the pressure. There are ready made tools. The ill effects of this is that if your system cannot tolerate the same then it can fry your hardware. Your system can completely dead. It is better that you must check your system specification.
