For that you buy a skillet better. Making overclock a notebook is nonsense, especially if the temperatures are always on the edge of the ceiling. Besides, you kill the battery, if you are not having sound knowledge related to overclocking then it will better not to go for that but it depends on you to take the final decision. But again I will warn you do not try to overclock you notebook.

In RivaTuner is that you get something more than performance to vga but I would not recommend a note in any sense. One more thing that you should be extremely careful at the time of doing overcloking, because it may damage your laptop. There are many other overclocking software present in market you can search for that and choose the best one for doing overclocking.

In some Dell can do overclock, because the ventilation is decent and some VGA cards sinks allow them. For example, in the case of my old notebook Factory brings a VGA nVidia GF 6800 with a better heatsink and BIOS GF 6800 Ultra earning a decent performance and is working like a 6800 ultra normal. The temperature rises only in degree from a better heatsink.

Also remember that a Dell XPS 1710 with T7600 processor came with the multiplier unlocked factory, or did Dell overclock with virtue. It is not so outlandish to overclock the notebook, you just have to think about how to dispel the temperature it generates. In any case, not all notebook does not serve and is to raise the clock without thinking because if the temperature goes up, plus spent more energy and power supply Dell almost always wadding, so you have to buy some of the Watts.

About 5 minutes of having it turned on the pilot of the battery flashes orange and becomes unusable (battery) if disconnected from the electrical outlet is not working off the battery, the manual says that heat problems? My friends have the same model and do NOT have this problem. He even put his fans and always gives the same problem. It all started since he remove the vista and put on XP. Is there any solution for this overclocking related problem?

I have a dell Inspiron 1525 and I had not g20 temperature problems, obviously never use it on the bed. No ventilation tapes is a good notebook with a Technical Support, for example, made a claim last Thursday that bug me the hard disk (Samsung) and today a technician came to my house to change. If such are traveling you need to be repair the notebook in a hotel, where you are going there with a reasonable anticipation.
