    CORE TEMP for Linux

I am facing a small problem temperature display on a debian. The box in which I work is for you to get a new server while everything beautiful in its own with a C2D, and responsible news asked me to make a page monitoring to be able to put, among other things, CPU temperature. Only problem: I have trouble displaying the temperature of the C2D.Usually we install acpi and acpid, then "cat / proc / acpi / thermal_zone / THRM / temperature" Shell and answer us this: "temperature: 37 C. I installed the paquage "lm-sensors" see if it could give me more information, without success. I blocked a little there, if someone could give me a track or something. Hence I am looking for CORE TEMP for Linux, if you have any idea related to this then please let me know.

No record in THRM thermal_zone of acpi, you have to be more explicit, the temperature that I gave is the output of the command typed on my personal machine, an AMD 3500. But when you install acpid on debian, it launches automatically, like most demons on debian, right? You will need to correct it and then restart, just in case it would be buggy.

Linux and XP at the same time via a dual core and 2 SD dream or reality. Here I want to know if a configuration with these products pourrrait manage two operating system at the same time and "the dream" I could spent an operating system to another through a set of key. Can I do it through a virtual machine, if it will be comfortable?

It is a shame because it would really advanced technology and in this case I not really understand the importance of these dual cores. Because little or no soft handle this type of processor. What if that application will be available as the machines equipped with this technology may be dropped. and then two operating system running on the same machine at the same time allow the value of marginal products today.

Running multiple OS simultaneously on a single machine with perf almost equivalent to native mode, it proposes that Xen . Currently supported OSes are Plan9, NetBSD and other Linux distributions. The Persians are it seems quite impressive. And no need to use dual core for what you are trying to use. I hope you get the information what I am trying to say.

The media has thought "hard", you need software that can exploit. To use a cryptographic acceleration card, you need software that takes advantage. To use the 3D acceleration of your graphics card, it must be programs that are property (driver and software programmed for). According to me virtualization is the same thing.

The only thing I have ever done in my kernel to get it working properly was to make sure the right sensor chip was compiled in. If you don't know what chip you use, just compile them all as modules, and then sensors can stick the right one in with detection, generally. If you have any other problem related to this then please let me I will try to solve it.
