    AI suite tempratures

    Hi guys,

I have some confusion that I want to show you and I am sure you all will help me to do this. which one to believe real temp or AI suite? the radiator is feeling so much cold so It indicates that it is within the 37C but the AI suite say it is 43 , Realtemp is not calibrated...Please take a look on the attached pic

I am also one of the use of realtemp and I always use this because a lot of features are incorporated within this. I have considered on your attached picture file and got everything is going very fine and you need to checkl it agagin and if you are getting any issues after that then post me..

According to me , It's very accurate. 45nm Quad (Q9550) Tjmax is 100 i believe but I am not sure and don't know much more about i7 nehalem. It might be just different tj max.

    AI suite tempratures

That AI Suite CPU temp reading is the exact similar as HWMonitor's TMPIN0 on my computer. So its the socket temp according to me ? I liked that software but it assumed as unnecessary once I had entire temp readouts in HWMonitor.

I discussed about this to one of my friend and he told me as " Between these two, he would use RealTemp. However when you manage the appropriate temps he use a number of temp reading application. Everest, HWMonitor,RealTemp).Everest and HWMonitor provides the same temperatures.

For getting actual and accurate CPU temps, you need to use realtemp as Viceman said, AI suite's temp reading is the CPU socket temp.realtemp reads the sensors from within the CPU itself. These are the core sensors also everest is better too,as it displays the CPU's core temperature and the CPU's socket temp.as seen in the picture attached below .

    Hi everyone,

As us P5B Deluxe, E6420 (stock cooler), 2GB Ram (800Mhz) . So, I was searching at my CPU temperatures and I am a bit confused, Asus AI Suite, and Asus PC Probe suggest it as 42C whereas CoreTemp 0.95 supports it as 35.

Which one is the more accurate one ? Second query is can I overclock my CPU with the help of Asus AI Suite, or should I perform it through the BIOS. In third case, will the Asus AI Suite automatically maximize the voltage when I OC. Finally, whats the CPU temperature threshold that I should not cross (must be 100% safe temp.)

Which one is the much reliable ?Mostly,Core Temp(although you should probably add 1-2C) Second query is can I overclock my CPU with the help of Asus AI Suite, or should I do it through the BIOS configuration. I will go definitely with the BIOS.

Thirdly, will the Asus AI Suite automatically increase the voltage when I perform the OC. Don't have it on Auto, when you have it on Auto it looks liek as pump more voltage than what is required therefore making your system hotter.

Fourthly, whats the CPU temperature threshold that I should not cross (must be 100% safe temp.), you need not to go for past 80C..

Which one is the more accurate one ?

Second question is can I overclock my CPU using Asus AI Suite, or should i do it via the BIOS.just use core temp and the bios, you bought fast ram and at 1:1, you would be underclocking it until you reach 400x8 on stock cooling and voltage, i reckon your cpu could do 350x8. I think your biggest problem is temperature under load, id try keep it under 60.
