Zalman 7700AlCu temperature

I have a zalman 7700AlCu, temperature does not sound very convincing in idle I'm 52 with the fan at minimum, with the fan to the max I am 46 °. When I watching a video in full screen or other Daylimotion I go with a 65 bottom fan.

P4 640 3.2ghz processor
Motherboard p5gd2-x

My question is what I have wrong mount (socket 775) or what its normal temperature if so give me the name of a good fan to cool my p4 thank you in advance.

What you only serves to replace the original ventirad (maybe its a little cool but not expect miracles).

Too much thermal paste is the opposite effect, it should just put a thin layer, no larger than a hair

I would say normal temperatures

If you want a good Cpu cooler then check some of those

ok thank you because with the original rad I climbed up a 65 with that zalman I soars 68-70 (I am disappointed zalman) thank you for recommending, I will order one.

You have clearly a concern because of the Zalman 7700 is still much more efficient than the original rad (I have his little brother, 7000, on a A64 which runs to almost 3GHz and I rarely exceed 50 ° over (30-35 degrees idle with the fan running only)

I corrected my mistake the 7700-AlCu works perfectly after the exit of the box card and you can see a real difference in 46 idle and 65 in the full fan minimum It will up to 3.8 (from 3.2) in 45-46 idle fan-out on the zalman.
