    Overclock and Transaction Booster!

    Hi,

On my bios which is p5kse from this elusive TRANSACTION BOOSTER ... I have read many guides but that did not help much .... I understand those who say that to increase the performance we need to enable those device which we disable to 1.

So my configuration is as follows ..
    CPU E6750 @ 3.2 ghz 400 fsb
    p5kse bios 0901
ADATA extreme edition ram 1066 guaranteed 1066 @ Partition 2:3
    FIX 101 PCI-E

HOW DO I DEFINE WHETHER THE VALUE IS APPROPRIATE?

According to me you have to enabled your overclocking from 0 to 7 range which is possible to change, and need to disable from 0 to 7 will raise the Proportion of overclocking, eventhough it looks little confusing but i did somewhat like this only.
Again it needs to do the tests, that is bios with memory set to proper rate. you may try varying the parameter, looking for the lowest possible and you do all your tests, then go for the value for bios until you find the value that you may satisfy with.

Perhaps you are right .... it was only for the victim, if I wanted to set the value to enable 0 or 1 is the same law?

ultimately upto what level should I come down? or at least as I do the tests ...and that will not be seem reliable for OS to change parameters then

    Re: Overclock and Transaction Booster!

The transaction booster for Asus bios of Northbridge for latency, and for better performance of memory access (the Northbridge between the memory and the CPU, and since the two systems operate with different clock)

With enable active, the lowest value and latency and more fasts access are in inverse proportion. With disable and the opposite: more value for latency are the worst performance. There also note that the latency of Northbridge and linked to the RAM, so you can not set the values in unbound.
