Windows X64

Dear all,
I work in IT and I have just bought two HP worstations XW6600, and I want to install windows XP 64-bit on these machines, but eveyrtime I try to boot the system from the CD, I get as far as the screen when you can start to install windows on it and I get a blue screen stating "a problem has been detected and windows has been shut down to prevent damage to your computer..."
has anyone ever had this problem before?
any help would be appreciated, currenlty we are working on Windows 32-bit but the performance of the workstation is not at a 100%

do you have the windows xp64 bit genuine cd? try to boot from your cd with the os disk?

yes I have the XP 64-bit genuine CD and I have tried that already, and it works until the "Windows is starting up" screen and then I get a blue screen error message.
it seems it has something to do with IRQ's or boot sector viruses.
do you have any idea if it is a BIOS configuration, because I have searched the entire setup and I didn't find anything that has to do about windows 64-bit.

it's OK, it is working now, it was an optical drive driver issue, and a HD driver issue, it seems that windows XP series are not compatible with the SATA technology...
