Why Microsoft Singularity is known as Rethinking Dependable System Design?

I know that the Microsoft Singularity is based on the idea of designing more dependable software. But I am not able to find out how it is implemented as a Dependable System. Can you give a brief idea on it??? any comments on the above mentioned topic will be appreciated. Thanks a lot in advance.

Basically Singularity totally different from the operating system which is available in the market. It is developed into an extension of C# which is modern high level programming language. Thus we are going to get more dependable for the computing environment since C# will give you Singularity security advantages over the operating systems which are written in the low level language like C or C++.

It is having three key architectural features so that it can improve the system dependability. It is using software-isolated processes in order to help the protect programs as well as system services. SIP is used to enable the program to broken into components which are separated from the rest of the software components which are running on the same computer. due to this pieces of the system will fail rather than of total system failure.
Second thing is SIPs has to communicated and share the information since SIPs has to work towards the shared objective. In order to avoid errors and breakdown , miscommunication they have implemented contract-based channels.

Last but not the least they have developed manifest-based programs. That means if you are looking to install the program on Singularity than you will need to provide certain information which will be useful to preserve specific properties that the system would be quite reliable. You have to provide manifest of that particular program which you are supposed to install. If certain program are not following the rules then you will not be able to install as well as run that program by any mean.
