    Help C0000135 %hs Is Missing

Getting this blue screen. Read that this is possibly AVG which i do have. Ran the CD recovery tool off my USB and not sure if I found the right file or not. Seems like I found "Avast" file in a few different roots. I just went through and changed all of them i could find to a .bak extension (mentioned on another site). Still getting the same blue screen.

Am i wasting my time? Would a simple wipe just be easier to do? I have Win 7 home edition 64 bit. Running it on a SSD as well.

    Any help would be appreciated.

BTW long time reader first time poster.

Have you tried running chkdsk. Try to boot in safe mode or run recovery mode via Windows bootable disc and run the following command : Chkdsk /f /r. This scans your system for bad sector. Once it is scanned restart your system and you can try to run this for each partition or drives. If possible try to run system restore from safe mode which can help you much.

Thanks for the reply. I could not even boot in safe mode. Even after running chkdsc w/ the OS CD. I haven't a clue. Was looking for answers all over the net but never could pin one down to my specific problem. Long story short, I formatted and re-installed. Problem solved (discovered I had a bad LAN port after the install as well.) Will it ever end!??!?! lol. Thanks.
