It looks like the machine is fully qualified for Lion, as you said. What you describe is what I experience on a daily use of Mac Mini with a very weak GMA 950 graphics subsystem. As soon as Snow Leopard machine was installed preformed slowly. And when Leo was installed the same choppiness persisted. However, after waiting 24 hours for a total of indexing to complete (many units attached to the machine, the Lion is noticeably faster than Leopard or Snow Leopard. Especially Safari. The animation remains choppy, but it is a busy soft in Snow Leopard. Therefore, it is expected a day or two for background routines to complete their conversion processes? If not I suggest you do.

Not sure exactly what you want to say sorry I had to install, and that was released So I supposition it has had time to settle in Even switching between full-screen applications is so lazy Anything you can suggest?

I have Apple Care, so I ring up

In the original post it seemed as if the reconfiguration of the machine, instead of using it. -Sorry for the misunderstanding. But I take your answer in the sense that Lion has been operating normally. Two days is much more than enough time to run normally. Hopefully someone with your exact machine report here. Meanwhile I will continue investigating, but so far I can not find anything.
    What you should do
    • You may want to try to take your computer in "Safe" and see how it works then.
    • Also, start the Utilities / Activity Monitor and sort through the CPU column and see any process out of control.
    • And the profits start / console program, select "All Messages" in the left pane and then see if the panel on the right is continuous logging many messages the same type.

I am also seeing very choppy animation system (3-ish fps) in Lion. Like you, I have a Mac Pro, although mine has 2x Nvidia 7300 GT, not ATI. These 7300s have been plagued by performance problems and OpenGL compatibly from the day it come out, so my first thought on the subject of animation is that they were the culprits. because you have different cards, maybe not.

I realized that this is not my console that came out a couple of times AM Kernel: IOSurface: buffer size of the allowance is equal to zero Also in activity monitor mds and mdworker persist to rise anywhere from 1.0 to 94.5 Not sure if this means anything

This appears very strange, particularly since the team has lots of RAM, what lion needs. As one more user, you can take not many days of using the computer to settle. When first installed lion was slow and frustrating, but after a few days of use, fine. Try opening Activity Monitor and see if you have all unnecessary processes that are hogging the CPU or RAM, and leave them if necessary.
