how to unistall ubuntu

I had windows 7 in my pc thn i unistalled Ubuntu 10.10 But now i want to remove Ubuntu. I am trying to do it n I cant do it... ubuntu is VERY Very complicated... So i nw wnt to install Windows 7 without loosing my previous data(picture, music, etc.) . But hw cn i????/ I have the windows 7 CD but half of the installation is being completed thn it says to remove the CD n restart it so windows will continue. But wen i follow this i again come into Ubuntu.... Pls Can anybody help me out!!!!!

All the data in the partition which is consisting of Ubuntu 10.10 will be lost at the time of uninstallation of Ubuntu. So the best possible way to save all your data is to take back up of all your data before you are starting with the process of Uninstalling/removing Ubuntu from your system. You can save those data either on different partition of your hard drive or some external storage device like Flash drive/Pen Drive or portable hard disk.

Best technique is going to be to copy your /home folder to an external drive, and after that copy it back one time you have reformatted with the earlier version. As well, I memorize there being a technique that you could download a copy of your installed programs; so that you could just have Ubuntu quit and re-download those after you reinstall the OS.
