    Hello friends, I am facing some problem with palntronics wireless headset. I am using CentOS version 5.5 at my place. I am trying to connect wireless USB headset within it, but mic is not supporting in it. I have tried to connect it with many ways, for every type I tried coding but it is not working properly. My current code is as below:

    Code:
    -=[slimg00dy@localhost: /mnt/signature-drive-320/Downloads/iplist/fedora]=-  $ cat /proc/asound/version
    Advanced Linux Sound Architecture Driver Version 1.0.14rc3 (Wed Mar 14 07:25:50 2007 UTC).

    Hey I have gone through to your problem, if above doesn’t work for you then try to set amixer, alsamixer and xfce4-mixer, so that it will turn on our mic. Use following code for that:

    Code:
    -=[slimg00dy@localhost: /mnt/signature-drive-320/Downloads/iplist/fedora]=-  $ cat /proc/asound/card1/stream0
    Plantronics Wireless Audio Plantronics Wireless Audio at usb-0000:00:1d.7-3.2, : USB Audio

    Playback:
      Status: Running
        Interface = 1
        Altset = 1
        URBs = 3 [ 8 8 6 ]
        Packet Size = 288
        Momentary freq = 48000 Hz (0x30.0000)
      Interface 1
        Altset 1
        Format: 0x2
        Channels: 2
        Endpoint: 1 OUT (ADAPTIVE)
        Rates: 8000, 11025, 16000, 22050, 24000, 32000, 44100, 48000

    Capture:
      Status: Stop
      Interface 2
        Altset 1
        Format: 0x2
        Channels: 1
        Endpoint: 2 IN (ASYNC)
        Rates: 16000
    it will surely solve your problem. All the Best

    Hey I have gone through to your problem, and I have done some more search on it, and I came to know that you might not have tried with arecord. Just try to do some changes in arecord. It will solve your problem. first try to apply above setting, if it doesn’t work for you then so some changes in arecord. Because sometime it happens that big coding gets affected by some silly mistakes. So just try this and if you find, it is working for you then reply to this post.

    Hello friends, I have through to my problem. I just wanted to say that, before applying the setting to sound region, when I was making changes in arecors, it was giving me “device is busy” error. After that I applied the settings mentioned in the second post, and then I again did some changes in the arecord. It was working, thanks a lot friend without you all it was not possible for me to come out of this problem. I love CentOS.
