Hello according to me you have to follow the two methods to solve your problem. In first method, if you include some needless external devices associated to the machine, so you have to unplug all of them & make sure if the problem persevere. If this is not helpful then you have to follow the second method in that you possibly will boot the computer hooked on ‘safemode’ and make sure if the problem carry on. It will establish Windows XP in the company of a limited locate of files and drivers. Startup programs do not sprint in secure mode, and simply the basic drivers required to start Windows are installed, go behind the steps to boot the computer in secure mode: Restart your system and Start pressing F8 key. Then you will obtain advanced boot selection window. And from that choose the preference “Safe mode”.

Hello thank you for your quick response on my query. I have begun to try to define if the problem is caused by any of the peripherals, as you suggest. I unplugged the whole thing off except the mouse, keyboard and monitor, and it has not happened ever since. It is complicated, and I'm sure you can imagine, because it does not occur each day in any case, but I am now going to add peripherals back until I can identify which one it is.

As for the construct and model, the computer is custom prepared through World of Computers in Cambridge, UK. Basically my processor is an Intel Core2Duo 8500, and it encompass 4GB of RAM, with the support of windows XP Home edition operating system. The difficulty doesn't reveal itself mainly in several applications and it has happened every time from the time when the computer was built. Thanks again for the help. As an update, the difficulty hasn't take place in view of the fact that we unplugged the peripherals. The simply items left over to be plugged again inside are a scanner and a number of speakers. What be supposed to we do when we've pointed down accurately which peripheral is reason the difficulty. Is this probable to be a driver problem - be supposed to I struggle finding the most up-to-date drivers and re-install all of them? Please suggest me something I am out of ideas now. Thank you.
