Comparison between windows 7 premium and windows 7 professional

Can you please tell me what’s the difference between OEM and retail software is? Since I am going to buy a new pc for my studies which operating system is good for that, is there any difference between windows 7 home premium and professional? I have noticed that windows 7 only support one processor, if I want core dual, will this create the problem? Will the use of another processor be done in a proper way? If not then which operating system I should go for, if I am using core dual? What should I do if I want two operating system on the same computer do I require two hard disk separately on that.

OEM is a restricted version of windows that are inbuilt with the new computer; they are default operating system that is present when you buy a new branded computer. The amount that you have to pay for it is very less when compared with the retail copy of windows. The only limitation of OEM is that it only performs the installation process but it does not upgrade the operating system. But in retail the only big advantage is that it comes with an individual license key. It come in the two part namely in license key and upgrade key. In full license version, you get all the services and the utility that is require by the system but in the upgrade license you will get some extra features if you are a genuine members in a low cost when compared with the latest version.

Hello, I am glad to inform you that there is some difference between windows 7 home premium and professional they are as follows. Windows 7 premium is cheaper than the windows 7 professional also, home premium is been used for easy purpose or basic purpose but professional is used for business purpose. Professional has all the features of premium and some extra features also are included in it like windows server domain, encryption, location aware printing, presentation styles etc.

OEM is cheaper they are always sold with the computer, home basic and home premium supports only one processor. The main issue is that when you are using a processor it can have many multiple levels of cores. This tell us that even you use a dual core processor you can use windows 7 as it will be using all the level of cores that are present in it. Whenever you refer to the level of core present it means that it is referring to the number of socket present on the computer. You can run both the operating system on the same hard drive you don’t have to pay for a extra hard drive instead you can go for something else apart from it.

Thank you for the help about the information about the dual core, and for the descriptive comparison that is been provided, I just wanted to share an information that when I had brought an graphic card of nvidia 8800 GTX which is direct x compatible, when I installed it in windows 7, it started getting install into it but my friend was saying that it will give some problem when playing the game as the name of vista is not that good when it is used with the graphic card, but it was working good and it is working fine, thank you for your help and support.
