What is a classic environment on OS X Snow Leopard

I have just started using the Apple computer. I have bought a computer form apple which is running with OS X Snow Leopard. I am beginner to this operating system. So at the first time it went too hard for me to find several things in it. Lately I have learned to install additional software in it. My friend has brought me a copy of Adobe Photoshop 7.0. I have tried to install it but I couldn’t. The issue is that a valid classic environment was not detected. Does anybody know what it is and how can I accomplish installation?

Unmatched programs (those that are still written for 68k CPU) were under-the Mac OS X to use also can order it was up to Mac OS Tiger (version 10.4), the Classic environment. This was as a runtime loaded Mac OS 9 inside Mac OS X, in which such programs can be used normally, so technically emulation. They put a Mac with a PowerPC (G series) and therefore, they did not run on the newer Intel processors. Most of the older software for Mac OS, including those for very old Macs (68k CPUs), could be used in this way. The Classic environment corresponded to the Blue Box by Rhapsody.

Photoshop 7 and older no longer run on the leopard. If you're entitled to obtain the version of Photoshop, you will get the extended version of CS3 relatively cheap. Personally I would prefer as an alternatives like Adobe Lightroom, Photoshop Elements. This is for photo enthusiasts a good thing and makes Photoshop almost superfluous. It would indeed be tedious, but worth considering to work with Lightroom and only occasional further processing in Photoshop (if necessary in the boot camp environment in all).

The Classic Environment was a manner to run older OS 9 applications or softwares on OS X. I'm frightened that it was plunged through Leopard as well as Snow Leopard as a result you won't be capable to run those program. Now I think that it is the time for you to get the latest versions programs as well as applications if you can afford that much money. Otherwise you need to bootcamp on mac to run the Windows for those applications. It would be the possible way.

It seems to me that you are somewhat stuck now. If your Mac computer is recent bought (and undoubtedly if it is operating with Snow Leopard) in that case it utilizes Intel processors and unable to run the Classic Environment. There is an edition of Tiger obtainable in support of these computers however it doesn't hold the Classic Environment. Now there are only 2 choices left for you and they are:
    • Purchase a most recent version of Adobe Photoshop.
    • Otherwise you need to go for old Mac with PPC processors.
