Windows 7: Search text within document

How can I find a document with the search for specific text in the document? ( Research Word or other) responses Forum Others suggest that will happen to the search box which appears in the upper right corner of the browser - but that does not seem to be the case. I looked for familiar words and documents are not coming. Is there a flaw? Is there a shift towards research into the role? (Previously, the detailed search option from any folder you are prompted to select "search in the document.") Thank you for your valuable suggestion.

I have the same question the author of this thread. I attempt to search in Windows Explorer in Windows 7 for a file which contains a particular word. "I can open a file I know the word in it and make out the word in plain text. To state I am looking for the word "user.ā€ I have written each of the following in the search box.Content: username, content: "username".In none of these tests the search word I know is that one of the files in that folder. What am I missing? What I understand from the response that I do. Why search does not work to fix the floor I know it exists? If I cannot find a word I know is that the content search is useless.

Re: Windows 7: Search text within document

I tried searching just a single letter: Content or content: "uā€ Content: * u * content: "* * u". In the first two tests, no file names were returned. In the latter two cases, with asterisks, the investigation turned two file names. These two files, in fact, contain the desired letter. However, the files of many, many others in that folder also contain the letter and were not returned. Both files have become a TXT file and INI files, two types of files known to contain text. The other files in the folder have different types of files, which can be considered non-standard, so maybe the search function is not just looking at these files. How I can convince the search to find all files in the folder or files regardless of file type?

Thanks for your suggestion, attempt just typing the phrase into the search box and when it does not work attempt content: “words in phrase”, but this does not function. But still having the same issue. Do you have any other suggestion to get rid of this trouble? Please let me know. Thank you once more for your valuable suggestion.
