Need to upgrade sony xperia x10 to android 2.2

I wanted to know can I update my sony xperia x10 to the new android 2.2 operating system as it is a brand new update. So I am not quite sure of the update to this phone. So I thought its better to confirm this with you all. So what do you think can I upgrade my sony xperia x10 to android 2.2. Well my current operating system is android 2.1 and I am very happy with tits performance. Still I think it would be better to switch to the latest operating system as it would be better than the previous version. So what are your views on this topic? Do let me know what you think about it.

Well in order to get the updates for the android 2.2 you will have to wait a longer time. So I think it would be better if you stick with the android 2.1. Since as of now there is no update for the android 2.2. Sony people may or may not be launching the updates in this quarter of the year. I think you must keep looking for the sony website for more such news on the update information. So I hope you have got the necessary information on this topic.

Ok its very sad to hear about it but I think sony people will be providing some alternatives such that we can work on android 2.2 or 2.3 which is released. So if you have any ideas about this topic then do let me know. Since I am very excited about this particular operating system. Its been six months since I have got this product and used to earlier operate it in android 1.6 and now I am using the android 2.1. there was no problem since then and I believe they will release the updates soon.

I think many of the applications In the x10 require only android 2.1 to operate in it. So that’s why they are stalling the release of the android 2.2 for x10 and also the other phone that related to the xperia xpro mini, x8 and all. I have heard that android 2.2 has lots to offer in terms of the performance and also the tools that it uses. Since one of my friend has the android 2.2 in one of his laptops and he gave me that information. So even I am quite excited about this particular operating system.

Hey thanks a lot for the suggestions everyone. Well the only option in front of us is to wait and watch when the sony people will release the necessary updates for the 2.2 operating system. Soon they release I will get it updated. I am also having a look at the sony xperia website and searching for the appropriate news.
