Unable to do Audio Production in Linux Mint 10

I have newly begun to use Linux in my computer. I really like to do sound production on Windows XP. As I have started to use Linux Mint. I am unable to do the sound production on Linux Mint. I have used Jack, Hydrogen and Ardour. But I am unable to use any of the programs successfully. Please let me an appropriate solution on the same issue. I will really appreciate for reply. Thanks in advance.

Yes as per my knowledge Jack Audio Connection Kit is difficult to set up. It is suitable for the low latency audio. But it is useful to developed professional audio projects. It’s targeted on synchronized execution of clients and low latency of the sound operation. However it is very difficult to understand the functionality of this software. If you have patients to learn then only go for Jack Audio Connection Kit.

You should know what is the exact meaning of the Latency? Well Latency means amount of time delay experienced by the system. Without using you will unable to synchronize the two different sounds. If it is absent then it will make gap between the sound being played and listening that sound. You can fine more details about the latency on the Google. Let you try if you got some useful stuff on the Google. Don’t forget to mention your experience here so other members can get benefit from your experience. Wish you all the best.

I think the Hydrogen is grate software for sound producing but it is very difficult to deal with it since the working of this software is little complicated. However it has simple user interface but you do not need to spend entire day to make thing work proper. But still I am suggesting you to use Jack Audio Connection Kit though it has very complicated functions. If the functions are simplified then it will be the great software for the Audio producing projects. Simply try the above mentioned both the software’s. Thanks a lot.

Well I am suggesting you to go for Audigy .It is has ability to handle low latency of the sound. But it is used for the Windows based system. However this driver available for free on the internet. It will be great if it will be available for the Linux based system. We have to wait till the compatible version of the Audigy is being released for the Linux Mint. Anyway thank you for the reading the above mentioned information
