Why some of the new user gave up Linux Usage

After Ubuntu I found Linux is quiet appreciated in the market by most of the people. Mostly I found in my office also people running Ubuntu on their laptop. Even if you go on to buy some new brands of laptop or desktop you can get Linux on that. But I am noticing that some of the beginners are not enjoying Linux and why that so. Why people are giving up using Linux. We had quiet an ample of version of Linux released already. I want to know some negative aspects of this free operating system. I searched some sites which just stated the lack of Technical Support for this. But surely cannot be a single reason. It is understandable if there is limited application support or lack of cross platform support, but from the preceding years this operating system has advanced to an great extent.

At some place you are right. It is not entirely correct to say that Linux does has a Technical Support. There are many free forums and services that gives you guidance on that. I found some things which I noticed myself. This can be for the new and as well as for the older distros also. The first is that it do not fit on the my head that what is the best possible way to change the wallpaper. Normally I do not care to cover all the icons of applications in cloud. The conclusion out of it is the lack of gui support. After working for a long time on Windows it is not easy to switch on Linux or other. Basically for those who are not geeks and use a computer only for working purpose.

There are more points than just talking about the GUI. Linux is not developed by any established entity. It is a work of millions of developers. So whatever you get is free and there can be bugs too. People had worked really hard to make much simpler and better than commercial operating system. You must not ignore the fact that Windows percentage on computers is decreasing in comparison to especially Mac and Linux. The one reason is that on a home computer and if you have kids under 12 then it becomes complicate to run the new games that are sold everywhere but actually does not work with Linux. What you need to is search for a Windows emulator which makes your job more complicated.

There are certain points in Linux which are really needed to be taken under consideration. Like the first and most important thing is that you do not need drivers, or search for them online. Linux detect all types of hardware there will be around a 1% of hardware which is not detected. The memory consumption is lower than Windows, comparing more or less similar range operating systems. No need to install additional software as everything is installed during the installation. This is a virus free version. It is not completely secure but there are very rare virus developed for this.

The one thing which I do not like about Linux is that it is pretty complicated at the time of installation error or problem. Many would say that is a silly thing, but for a novice user, it's complicated. A beginner does not know what kind of partition should be assigned to the partition where to install the OS and all those other things. Even they do not easily figure about the swap partition. In my first installation I died troubleshooting things. It is first recommended that you must learn about Linux and the use it. Because it puts more light on the structure of operating system. Each operating system has a way of setup and installation. If you are not aware, and you can face issue. Linux is still new to most of the people, while Windows has a powerful Gui support which is mostly popular among all.

I face some issue with the update manager. I really do not like this. First thing you have those stuff which you do not know or don't want. There are many common errors on that. Internet setup is bit messy on this. Ubuntu is unstable, is still locking an operating system that is being distributed since 2004 or 2003. There are major problems of instability and crashes when you got some things to open. There is also a issue with linux if your hardware exceeds more limits. Like my friend has just added 1.5 GB of ram which shows only 768 on the operating system. Now that can be the limitation of operating system. I hate the topic of installing software on Linux, while the same is easy on windows. It's very difficult to install programs, rather than putting sudo apt and install something else.
