    Xbox360 and MKV files on Win7 x64

Hi, I am looking for a solution but could not find anything. The following divx components are installed on my Windows 7 home premium computer:divx codec 6.9.1 and divx plus media foundation components 1.0.0 as well as + AC3 Filter 1.63b.The MKV files, counting "Big Buck Bunny" as of from the Divx cabinet, seems in the Windows Media Player as well as Windows Media Center furthermore play properly. However they don’t display up on the XBox 360 Media Center! I have attempted re-adding the XBox at the same time as an extender more than a few times also moreover reinstalled the Divx package - with no improvement.Any assist is much respected!

I encompass Windows 7 Pro 64bit as well as an Xbox 360.I have been dragging my hair out for weeks attempting on the way to get this functioning. I have installed the Divx software as well as reinstalled it. I have uninstalled essentially everything that has on the way to do by means of a codec or Windows Media Center or else video players, etc., as well as reinstalled each and every one of it, furthermore have had NO chance by means of any of it. I cannot distinguish the MKV files on my 360 no matter what I did.

I have attempted the registry hack as well.Windows Media Player 11 plays the MKV files now very well. At what time I click play-to, it acts similar to it is going to perform something, however after that just sits there without end. The moment I choose a regular AVI file, it fire right up as well as starts playing. If I rename the MKV files to AVI, after that it is hit or else miss. Several play just all right, as well as others will play for a second, or else just go to the first frame in the video furthermore freeze.

In general if the XBOX360 is used at the same time as an media extender for Windows Media Center it should play the whole thing, which be able to be played on computer. That's my thoughtful. I edited my last post:
"I presently realized that for every flv files, as well as the mkv files which I cannot play the "DirectVobSub"-Icon is exposed in the taskbar. I be familiar with the mkv files has subtitles incorporated, however for the flv it's weird."

You do not require on the way to perform a registry hack to play .mkv files in Windows 7 MCE or else Windows 7 Windows Media Player just install the freeware codes such as Google ccc codec or shark codec furthermore install. I must state although through attempting the new shark windows 7 codec playing mkv in MCE has ceased on the way to work however they at a standstill work in Windows Media Player. I am making use of Windows 7 x64 bit though and although the former shark release differentiate between architecture the latest Windows 7 does not. So that may possibly have caused the trouble.

I also have faced this trouble once. And one of my friend suggested me to make use of goolgle CCCP codec and this has resolved my issue. Just download the google CCCP codec). This has the whole thing you require on the way to play MKV files. + It adds FFDShow/AC3Filter etc. Hope this will help you to get rid of this issue. If you have any issue please let me know thank you in advance.
