    Restore Blocked File

I know this is a query that has been asked earlier lots of times, but I have looked for the web and this board’s threads and don't locate a distinct respond. I am running Microsoft Windows 7 Enterprise x64 and Norton Antivirus 2011. Norton File Insight has in use a file on my chief partition and verified that it has Trojan. ADH and so has determined this threat by blocking it. It is just in the history and not in quarantine. Yes, it is an upper level threat. But, I do not require this file blocked. I faith this file 100 percent completely and want to improve this file. Any idea how can I restore this file? I require it and completely trust it.

Where in the history is the file register? Resolved threats, interruption deterrence, or interfere prevention? There is a drop down on the history menu bar which will allow you to settle on what has been done with the file. Well if it is in determined list then restore it detach from net and turn Norton auto protect after that restore add file to exclusions. I feel it is just been blocked from being in progress or executed.

    Re: Restore Blocked File

The trouble is that it sounds as though it is blocked by Norton Tamper deterrence that means just that it has been blocked by Norton from accessing Norton files. This does not mean that it is blocked from functioning. If it is in resolved threats or quarantine, it would have been detached from the system. This is why it is essential to know what fraction of history the notation is in. While you click on history, the menu bar at the top examines recent history. If you click on that, a drop down menu will allow you seem at more parts of Norton, and after that we will have a superior suggestion of what to tell you, while we know what part blocked it.

If you walk off to that entry in Download Insight and underline or highlight it, click on More Details, does the popup present any other choices to faith the file? If not, you will require adding the file to scan exclusions for Sonar, Auto defend, and scan, and after that again download the application. If you are influenced that the file is secure, you can as well turn off Insight earlier than the download, and later than adding the file to the exclusions.

Have a look another time at the entry in resolved threats. One time you highlight the entry, and click more details, there should be a display with few tabs at the pinnacle. One might be place this file. If you click it, it should get you to the file. Duplicate it to a thumb drive, so you can save it, and after that add the file to scan and sonar and insight exclusions. One more alternative is to yourself quarantine it, by right clicking it and selecting quarantine. From there you will be able to restore it and say to Norton to ignore it.

    Re: Restore Blocked File

Was this file detached while you attempted to firstly setup the application or did it install properly and after that the program itself got detached while you attempted to run it? Do you remember accurately what type of popup you obtained from Norton at the time this occurred? If you were able to setup in the program devoid of occasion and you saved the downloaded file someplace, afterward that file should still be around where you can reinstall the program. If the try to install itself effected in the file being detached and it really was high peril discovery, after that the downloaded file itself would have probable detached it from the system completely.
