POWRPROF.dll. error at start up in Windows 7

I have got a desktop system , my system has Intel core Quad Core Processor , the RAM of my system is of 4GB from Corsair installed on Intel motherboard. Although I do not have any idea about all these, I am not that of technical savvy , these all was directed by my brother . I did an operating system upgrade a few days back but however at the startup I am getting a strange error that says PowerReadACValue-POWRPROF.dll at the entry point. If you have any sort of knowledge what does this error means and how I can get read of this so that I can boot to the Windows safely without any error. I am waiting for the earliest reply. PS : I upgraded from Windows Xp to Windows 7 operating system. I hope anyone of you will come up with a genuine solution.

The file powrprof.dll, is needed by operating system and is utilized by the window’s power management system. It is utilized to execute actions , these actions includes processes such as to power down any system and/or toggle to hibernate mode . If powrprof.dll is not available windows functions that are somehow related to this power management will not work as intended

powrprof.dll is signed as a machine process and does not come out to be a security threat. However, if you remove the Power Profile Helper Library from your system it may have a negative impact on your machine . In most cases the issue is resolved So I would not suggest you to follow the same procedure as I have mentioned already that it may affect adversely to your system.

The correct answer is that you should go to the HP support site and get the necessary update to the software of HP system There are four essential/fundamental update units. You will also have to do an installation called as HP Product Detection.Details will modify with time, possibly. You can locate the website by just typing the error in your search engine as QPService.exe POWRPROF.dll or you can also visit the the HP onboard service. I think you should also Install and Update QuickPlay/DVD Play 3.Updating QuickPlay is an effective measure
