Windows 7: OEM vs Full Version

Hello friends, currently I have Windows 7 32-bit on my personal computer and thinking it to move to a 64-bit Operating System, and I do have a 64-bit processor. But when I went to Best Buy someone told me that there is the difference between OEM vs. Full version. I was confused and I thought the full version was OEM. I came to know that if my system crashed, that I couldn't set up the OEM on an additional computer and that I might only make little hardware changes to that computer. With the Full version we can set up it on one more computers if the original crashes. What are the difference between OEM and full version? What is the price difference and also certain features missing?

OEM edition of Windows 7 are similar to complete License Retail editions except for the following:
    1) OEM versions do not present any free of charge Microsoft direct support from Microsoft support human resources or any person
    2) OEM licenses are attached to the very first computer you set up and turn it on.
    3) OEM versions permit every hardware upgrades excluding for an upgrade to a dissimilar model motherboard.
    4) OEM editions cannot be used to frankly upgrade from a previous Windows operating system

There are a few differences between the OEM and Retail SKUs.
OEM versions of Windows need that you as the system designer gives the entire technical support, and you are not permitted to move the license from one computer to another if the computer crashes. The OEM license is attached to the computer that you set up Windows on. The OEM version is less costly for the reason that you do not get technical support from Microsoft, exclusive of paying for a support incident. The retail versions give Microsoft technical support by phone, are able to be moved to a other machine, and they come in the attractive wrapping.

Re: Windows 7: OEM vs Full Version

Even though if you acquire a entire general OEM version, it includes the similar software, it has the following shortcomings as compared with the full retail version: 1. Its authorization binds it everlastingly to the first computer it's installed on. It can by no means lawfully be moved to another computer, sold, or given away (apart from the unique computers). 2. It can simply do a dirt free installation, not an upgrade. 3. Microsoft offers no support for OEM editions. We can't name them with a issue, but as an alternative have to get any required support from your OEM; that support might range everywhere among excellent and fictional. Or We can get support somewhere else.
