    Connectivity Problems on Linpus Linux Lite v.1.9.9

    I have an Aspire One with Linpus Linux Lite v.1.9.9 E with which I could connect to the internet and one day turned on my computer and I was not connecting. I tried to access network center to reconfigure the connection but when I click I cannot open up anything, so I cannot access the connection manager. So what I have to in order to get rid of from this issue.

    Using NetworkManager? Tends to be some problems, you connect with wifi? I really gave much trouble and I ended up uninstalling and configuring the network in a file myself. So you just search for the wired network and the wireless network. So I hope you will get the better idea regarding this that how this things works. But remember you have to search this on to the official website of the Ubuntu. I think you just got my point.

    Hello. Test the configuration by hand, guided by you I see you say you are very novice.
    1) Open a console terminal or command line (in this system is not where this)
    2) Make a copy of the current configuration file cp / etc/sysconfig/networking/devices/ifcfg-wlan0 ~
    3) Proceed to edit sudo gedit / etc/sysconfig/networking/devices/ifcfg-wlan0
    4) The text open (open to open, not having) we delete all but HWADDR (do not worry we already have a copy.)
    5) Wrote the following:
    DEVICE = wlan0
    HWADDR = 00:23:4 E: XX: XX: XX This line is we had previously retained
    ONBOOT = yes
    BOOTPROTO = dhcp
    TYPE = Wireless
    IPV6INIT = no
    USERCTL = no
    6) Save and exit:
    If you are in vim keep pressing escape and then type: wq
    If you are in nano you press ctrl + o then enter and exit ctrl + x.
    7) restart the network service: sudo / etc / init.d / network restart or sudo / etc / init.d / networking restart
    I hope you find anything here in order to fix your issue.

    In this also you have to take care little bit actually in this do not put it all together: there is a space after and before ~ cp Would be good before you edit the file paste the content here, maybe it is already configured properly. Although one tends to blame the OS, the truth is that if you stopped working suddenly and without software changes through, it may have broken a hardware component.

    I was also seeing that this distribution is based on fedora, per what is likely to sudo does not work, instead doing his - and after the commands without sudo, I mean: instead of this: sudo / etc / init.d / network restart or sudo / etc / init.d / networking restart place this / Etc / init.d / network restart. Even though you will get the fix for your issue. So have you got my point that what I mean to say over here.
