While you download the files from Realtek, they will be condensed and will require increasing earlier than they can be setup. While you click the link on the Realtek website, forever choose Save in the dialogue that emerges. The default folder is your Downloads folder. The file will get the form of a compacted or zipped folder. While the download has finished, place this folder. Right click on it and choose Extract All. Agree to the default location and folder name this is generally the similar source folder. The folder name will be the similar as the downloaded folder, but will be a plain folder as opposite to a folder with a zip on it. Save this folder to removable media like a USB flash drive. To install the driver, release this folder and browse for setup.exe. Note that there are additional files called setup - you are looking for the application file. Click this file and pursue the commands. You will almost certainly have to present administrative recommendation at this point in order to persist. While the driver has installed, you will require starting again your machine.

Re: Realtek AC'97 Audio Drivers A4.04 and 6280 versions

I presently installed windows Vista and establish that sound was not working. I have an Asus motherboard among onboard sound and even in windows XP I had to physically setup the drivers so I went to the Realtek website and they had a vista version of the drivers. I installed that and currently Realtek AC97 Audio is listed below device manager and it says its working well but I have no sound. As well in the bottom right hand corner the small speaker icon has a red cross after that to it, if I right click it and click playback devices it lists the device and says it is working okay but if I click on open volume blender it says no audio tool is installed. Anybody got some ideas? Then please help me out!!!!!!

I am using the similar mother board as you have. I reality had my sound functioning below windows VISTA but I am not capable to get it to work below Windows 7. Did you run into any troubles during your install of Windows 7 cleaning the boards and so forth currently to fix? Unusual thing is I can force sound through to the speakers with windows audio manager... Playback Devices and get AC97. After that construct, while I tell it 5.1 sounds it will play sound from each speaker but no amount of toying with it appears to get sound from any additional application on the computer.
