Cloning MAC OS X on Multiple Partitions

I have partitioned the hard disk of mine and now I have the multiple partitions on it. Now the thing is that I want to clone that entire multiple partition on the other disk. Can anyone help me with this? I have made 5 partitions on the hard disk each of 20GB each well the total hard disk is of 320GB. On the first partition that I have it has the Mac OS X 10.5.6. On the second partition I have the Mac OS X 10.5.7 and on the third partition I have the Mac OS X 10.5.8. Now the thing is that I want to clone this entire hard disk on another hard disk that I have. Also please keep one more thing in mind that I do not want to clone the hard disk partition wise I want to have the entire hard disk copied in the one go. I think that I have cleared the query of mine and will be happy if you all can come up with the useful suggestions.

Well I have the list of some of the disk cloning software that I think that can help you in achieving the thing that you want. Well on the first the software that is platform independent is:
    • Acronis True Image
    • Clonezilla
    • dd
    • Norton Ghost
    • Kleo Bare Metal Backup for Servers
    • PING (Partimage Is Not Ghost) and
    • R-Drive Image

In addition to that the disk cloning software that are made for the Mac are:
Apple Software Restore and Disk Utility
    • Carbon Copy Cloner
    • CopyCatX
    • SuperDuper
    • Synchronize
    • Pro X

See which of the above works better for you. If at all you ask me then I think that Clonezilla and Apple Software Restore and Disk Utility will be the best to try for.

I have a better description for the Clonezilla. Just see it here. Well to narrate with I am of the opinion that you are aware with the Norton Ghost. Well the thing with the Norton Ghost it is a software package and it takes a lot of time in order to clone systems to many computers. On the other hand Clonezilla permits you to do metal backup and recovery. On the other hand I have two types of Clonezilla viz. Clonezilla live and Clonezilla SE. Clonezilla live can be used for single machine backup and restore. On the other hand Clonezilla Server Edition is used massively for the more that 40 plus computers. I think that you should give it a try once. Well see if that can help you with the cloning.

In the list above there is a name called Carbon Copy Cloner and I think that in your case it is the most suitable thing that you should go with. It is has the simplest interface. It can exactly show you how you can have the backup. For the Mac it has a separate section. It is very hand on Mac. One can back up to another Macintosh using this cloner in a much easy way. Also the speed of this cloner is really wonderful and I will suggest you to go with this. Also if there is any issue with the software then there is an update feature that will update this software in no time and will bring it out of the issue in not time. I would have gone with this and will suggest you the same to go with. Try this and let us know if you were able to get the things in the proper way.

CopyCatX, I think that you will be required to have this software for you. I am saying these since I have seen that this software posse the exact same feature that you are looking for. This software makes use of byte and block-level copying so that an accurate duplicate of devices and volumes can be made. CopyCatX is actually a backup software that is fashioned by SubRosaSoft.com Inc. One of the nice features of this software is that it does not depend on the device and file system; it is entirely independent of both. It can create duplicate and disk images of all the things that the Mac OS X can recognize. So I would suggest you try this first on top of all other software.
