Earlier, I was also facing the similar problem with my browser. I did a online research for this and tried to compel quitting the browsers to kill it. I downloaded the MacScan which was a free trial. I installed that and run that. It takes several hours to run it and reported that it has detected the tracking cookies and spyware in the system. I followed the instruction by that to isolate and remove that from my computer and this create a new folder on my computer desktop which was named as isolated items. From then, I have not got any such messages. You should also try this and see whether it helps you or not?

OK, as you specified that you are using a PPC-based Mac. I would like to tell you that it cannot run the Windows Internet Security because it is not installed. The one that you have is called a boneheaded social engineering trap which is anticipated to deception Windows users into installing malware the systems that they are using. So that will not cause any problem to your Mac. You can search for the virus infection on your system and heal if it found any.

There is possibility that something is stuck in the cache of the browser that you are using. That may also create such problem that you told like redirecting the browser to some other page and all. To fix this issue all you have to do is just cleat the cache memory of the browser and close the browser Window. Reopen the browser and I am quite sure that this will solve the issue if that is related to the browser cache.

As you told that you are redirected to some other page automatically so I think that the problem is because of the DNSChanger Trojan. This server changes the Setting for the DNS server and redirects the browser to some other unwanted sites. This Trojan is also known as OSX.RSPlug once it is downloaded to your computer then it will start affecting the DNS settings.

There is software available for this and that is called the DNSChanger Remover. It is available on internet. You can easily find that by searching that on internet. Download that and install it to your computer. This will help you to remove the Trojen from your system and you will be able to get out of the issue.
