Essentially, only application obtainable in source can be carried out on Darwin, except someone builds an emulation layer at the bottom of non Darwing sys calls. If like this type of layers are obtainable, then given the ease of use of all desirable emulated system libraries, one is able to run PPC binaries. And in this I think your Corel word is an x86 binary.

I have read the post which is given here and related to this I have searched on the web but regarding this I do not get very effective solution. In this I just want to inform you that if you are looking for the xdarwin word processor so you just get the abiword. And related to this I think that it is available on to the fink. and it might even be on version tracker in package form.

Hey I have good news for you guys actually in this Apple 6.2.2 works. And it is really wonderful. Regarding this I do not have any kind of issue in this. I make use of it alongside InDesign 2.0 and have no complaints. It is not too much costly and also it does the word processing, drawing, painting, database, and presentations. And related to this I think that it is the perfect one and it is "quick and dirty" companion to the Adobe Design Collection; and also it support for the Photoshop file format. And which I think that it is really very useful.

I have little bit of information related to this thread and I think which is going to help you. Corel WordPerfect would simply work if you were able to recompile it. The present version of Corel WordPerfect is for Linux on the x86 platform. There is at present no way to grip linux-style binaries compiled for x86. As much as I be acquainted with, Corel has not open-sourced its word ideal. So for the current time I think that the perfect answer of your question is NO.

Sorry to bring back to this I mean an old thread, but at the present that OSX is running on an x86 architecture, does this still be relevant? Is there any way to get a hold on Linux WordPerfect 8.0 to run under Mac OS 10.6 devoid of a recompile? So please if you have solution of these then please tell me over here as soon as it is possible for you guys.
