Get Act 2007 data from PC to MAC

We have been using ACT 2007 software from a long time on Windows XP computer. But now we have added Mac computer in the same network in which Windows XP is running. Now I want to import the data from Windows XP to Mac. Since I don't know how to get this data on Mac, I am here to ask you guys. Can I use the same ACT 2007 to get the content on MAC computer or do I need the program once again to get the data? Is there any other software that I have to install which can access its database?

Instead of installing an unknown software or fiddling around for a solution which may or may not work on your Mac computer, you can even install Windows on your Mac computer and can thus access the database of ACT 2007 on Mac computer. You don't need to buy the new software. You can still run the same application on this computer. Since ACT is Windows-based only, I don't think you can run it on Mac platform. You should have Windows platform to run it.

You can use Parallels Desktop 3 in coherence mode. It allows you to integrate more than one operating system on Mac computer having Intel processor installed. Parallels is a great tool. However the only problem is that you can not integrate ACT with apple's mail, ical, ichat, address book etc. With Parallels Desktop for Mac, you can run both Windows and Mac OS X applications side-by-side with speed, control and confidence.

You can not use ACT on Mac computer because the company itself have stopped working on its mac supported application. If you are looking for an alternative to ACT than you can go for Outlook Business Contact Manager. All you can do is share the database on one computer, and give access to others who needs it. You could even import your data from another application into Outlook Business Contact Manager. The supported applications include Excel and Access, QuickBooks, ACT!, or even E-Mail Marketing Service.

My friend recently switched to Mac Os X, but his company relies heavily on Act! 2007. Although he was aware about the Daylite software which is designed to help you manage your business and can convert Act data but he was not sure about its connection to ACT database. Moreover, learning the new linking techniques in Daylite is difficult I think. We have even paid for the conversion of my ACT database to Daylite but it created a lot of problems.
