I am not having enough ideas about the Hyper-V, so thought to take some notes from you members. Basically I want to know is what is Hyper-V and how to use it? Microsoft claims that Hyper-V is in contrast to the virtual server is a bare-metal hypervisor that touches directly on the hardware. How can it be that you only need to install Windows Server 2008 R2 and Hyper-V later as a separate server role enabled? The Standard Edition of Windows Server 2008 R2 lets you run 2 instances, one physical and virtual. Could the installation of Hyper-V to save money by by Parent partition as full-fledged Windows server and then uses a domain controller running around? I know that this query contains multiple questions but hoping that you members will be kind and provide some solutions.
