Why DOESN'T someone make a virus for mac

I was thinking that there are millions of users who are using Mac and there is no virus produce for Mac that can infect the Mac? Some people say that there is no meaning of it because we only have about 6.5 percent market-share. If the hackers infect partly of that then they will really feel proud and is any person will be able to create the first virus for the Mac then he would be ludicrously famous. So why he are not creating that or it is impossible to create that? Please share your ideas with us.

I would like to tell you that it is very difficult to overcome the Unix security system and if any virus want to corrupt the operating system then it has to defeat this security system and that is not possible till now and that is the reason why no one is able to create the virus for the Mac. If they get any idea to cross this security system then they will be able to create the viruses for that. I hope that this will give you clear idea that why it is not possible to create virus for the Mac. This is one of the possible reasons that I know about that and there may be some other reasons behind this which I don't know.

It is not very easy to do that as in above post it is said that permission on the Unix is unlike than on windows. When you enter the password then it will run a command for you which is called the sudo command. Sudo stands for "super user do". If any virus wants to damage your system then it should have to have authenticated first. If we use the Windows then it assigns everyone as super user and therefore it is very easy to create virus for Windows. I got this answer from one of my friends when I was searching for this answer. This may clear the idea for those users who are searching for this answer.

I read this somewhere on internet that hacking as well as cracking are not similar to it used to be because today hackers do not want to come across for the challenge or arrogant rights. They just want to make the buck in excess of anything else.

Nowadays people just want to place funny messages on your computer or they just want to destroy data for no reason. I am sure that there may be something that can create the virus for mac but they are not targeting that.
