Is Mac the ultimate computer for Graphic Design?

I am using the Mac operating system from my school days and was confused between building workstation and using the Macbook Pro 2010. I just wondered if anybody thinks that structure a workstation pc is worth it, in its place of just getting a Mac? I might be able to sway an inferior price with a pc but then I would just be trailing out on excellence. The graphics design feature should be available in the Mac pc’s and in other computers that I am willing to purchase. In the Many people over the years has debated about the Mac and other computer PC regarding there gaming capabilities. So, I just wanted to know that what the basic difference between them is and which should I buy when I want to use it for the gaming purpose and in addition to that I want to use it for other things also. My budget for the Macbook is not that much so please provide me some suggestion on these two pc’s and what will be the solution for that any suggestion on the topic will be appreciated.
